JOEY STRADA

ASSISTANT COACH

Born and raised in the world of hockey, Joey began his journey with the Jr. Coyotes, honing his skills on the ice. At 16, Coach Strada ventured to the East Coast to join the Baltimore Skipjacks for a season before landing a spot with the Aberdeen Wings in the NAHL. Over three impactful years, he was able to leave his mark as the second-highest scorer in franchise history and clinched a Robertson Cup victory in the 2018-2019 season. Transitioning to the USHL, Joey split his final junior year between the Des Moines Buccaneers and the Waterloo Blackhawks, showcasing himself with 20 goals, 18 assists, and 38 points in 47 games. Throughout his career he embraced opportunities in professional hockey, competing in leagues like HockeyEttan and SPHL. Ultimately, Coach Strada finished his playing career in Milan, Italy.

Coach Strada brings a unique skill set to the Idaho Falls Spud Kings organization, his primary focus will be only skill development, recruiting, and overall player development.
