
Qualifications -Equipment manager experience in hockey necessary at the junior, professional, or collegiate levels.
-Must be able to complete MySport Training and pass a qualifying background check.
Responsibilities for the Idaho Falls Spud Kings are as followed:
-Making sure players have what they need for practices and games.
-Doing team laundry after every practice and on game days.
-Sharpen skates daily.
-Sewing to repair all socks, jerseys, and all equipment repairs.
-Strong communication with staff and players. -Overall cleanliness of team facilities and locker room.
-Travel to every game, home and away, as well be present at all practices, camps, skill sessions.
-Through correspondence with the GM, order all gear for the entire season for players and staff.
-Manage equipment in a fiscally responsible manner, as well as stay within budget parameters.
-Use creative thinking to get the best equipment deals through negotiations with supplier.
Compensation
-Equipment Manager to receive $2,000 per month for the duration of the season.
-Equipment Manager to receive comped billeting, or a $400/month living stipend for the duration of the position.
-All team related expenses to reimbursed to equipment manager, with the prior approval of the General Manager.
-Travel for all team activities to be covered by team, including lodging and food.
